Kimpton Overland Hotel - Atlanta Airport

If you need a luxury hotel near the airport with a free shuttle, this is a good option. However, the rooms and beds are small. The mattress is smaller than the bed frame, so my husband and I scratched our legs few times. We had Sunday breakfast at the on-site restaurant, Apron. The service was poor. There was no silverware at our table, even after asking twice. The food was good, but it arrived after an hour.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding stay from start to finish. Antwione at the front desk was amazing—welcoming, professional, and helpful in every way. The entire staff was exceptional, the room was perfect, and the food and beverage were excellent. Watching the Porsche racing on the track, planes coming into the airport, and an incredible sunset made the experience even better. Everything was A+. Highly recommend!

The hotel was very nice, super quiet considering it’s right next to the airport. My husband and I stayed there because it’s right next to the Porsche Experience Center. Our room was nice, but the bathroom had very limited counter space, and the bed seemed to be made up slightly wrong (the top sheet was layered on top of the comforter, rather than below it). Otherwise, staff was very friendly, our stay was great and it was very reasonable. We’d stay there again.

I absolutely LOVE this hotel!! The staff is phenomenal, hardworking, always pleasant, and genuinely helpful every single day. That kind of energy is rare. Which I greatly appreciated. As a major car lover, staying next to Porsche Headquarters and watching the action at Porsche Experience Center Atlanta is unreal. It literally put me in my happy place. I originally booked just to be close to the airport… but I was so impressed I changed my flight and stayed three extra days. The rooftop views are breathtaking, the hotel is spotless, and the housekeeping team works tirelessly (seeing them active late at night says everything). I also love seeing how they cater to the dogs and is pet friendly. With the hotel being located in Hapeville. It gave a charming small-town vibe. Highly recommend dining at Apron downstairs which is a little pricey, or keeping it classic at Chick-fil-A Dwarf House across the street. This has officially become my home away from home. I will absolutely be back.

I absolutely loved my stay here. Everything was clean, comfortable, and so well taken care of, but my favorite part was the view. I got to watch planes take off and land all morning, and it was honestly the most calming, beautiful thing. The staff was friendly, the room was spotless, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this hotel to everyone I know. An amazing stay all around!

Outstanding hospitality from start to finish. After a late-night flight, room was not yet ready, but Makayla and the staff handled the situation with exceptional care and professionalism. Makayla went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and even arranged a complimentary meal, which was greatly appreciated. Her attentiveness and the team’s overall service truly made a difference in my stay.

I went for a staycation to finish celebrating my birthday. I was greeted by one of the most exceptional employees ever. Antwan! From the moment I entered he made me feel welcome, and his professional demeanor was notable. I was provided a beautiful room with an incredible view. The room was immaculate and close to the rooftop. Although it was closed due to the season and weather, it was still available for a nighttime view of the planes taking off and landing. I had the perfect view to the Porsche facility nextdoor and the night view of the track and skyline was amazing. Kimpton hotels have been impressive. I recently visited the Epic in Miami which was exceptional. This particular hotel is much smaller and not as fancy, but it is well maintained, quaint, and comfortable for a quiet stay. I totally enjoyed the wine happy hour and sitting in the Living room styled lobby to sip and mingle. I even branched out to try the complimentary bacon wrapped dates. There was another gentleman working alongside Antwan and each time my husband and I came down or passed the desks, he was attentive to ask and make sure we were enjoying our stay. Their attentiveness was remarkable. We definitely appreciated the breakfast the following morning. However, only having one waitress slowed things down a bit. Several items on the menu we desired were unavailable. It was disappointing for a moment, but Chef Burrell made a personal appearance at our table and offered his apologies. He took time to curate a meal that could accommodate my restrictions. I appreciate him going above and beyond to help. Overall, I am once again pleased with our stay. If you are in the area and need a quaint and quiet stay, this is your choice. Kimpton, you are truly blessed to have Antwan as the face of this hotel, for employees like this heightens the desire of patrons to return.

I stayed here for a few hours overnight on business the greeter and front door front desk staff were amazing. The check-in was quick. The room was clean and very comfortable and the location was phenomenal. Likely the best hotel to stay in near ATL airport.
